His vision became the reality of a worldwide department store chain covering 5 countries and 1500 cities. With over 2100 stores, Woolworth's became the hub of everyday shopping. At Christmas time, stores were adorned with wreaths and bows and holiday bargains lined the floor.

A visit to the soda counter, shopping the bargain tables or waiting in line to see Santa, a trip to Woolworth's was always a memorable experience!"
