The back reads, "A 738-acre estate, Boone Hall was a cotton plantation in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and covered more than 17,000 acres. Brick and tile were handmade on the plantation, and these same bricks may still be seen in the mansion, cotton gin house, slave cabins, circular smokehouse and in the formal gardens' walls and walks. By 1904, Boone Hall Plantation had developed the world's largest pecan groves; acres of these groves are still productive. The plantation was used for extensive location filming in the mini-series, "North and South," Parts 1 and 2."
